Last Minute Gifts

This is a super quick necklace/bracelet. You can whip it up in minutes! The cords are overhand-knotted together after each bead. You can use any of your beady treasures to make the clasp. Happy holidays!

I used large-hole pearls from Ta Pearls, owl bead from Green Girl Studios, leather from Beadalon and sparkly thread from Kreinik.

Check This Out! Everyday Bracelet

The amazing Cynthia Deis from Ornamentea was here yesterday to film a Beads, Baubles & Jewels segment showing us how to make this chic little Everyday Bracelet. We finished taping a little early (that never happens) and, would you believe it, at the end of the day we all gathered around a table in the green room to make our own bracelets!  Cynthia is a great teacher and these bracelets are totally addictive. I'm going to make a stack! The episode will air in Spring 2012. Stay tuned...

Beading for Good

Today, we had a visit from Maryann Corey from www.theportableplayhouse.org. It was so nice to meet Maryann and hear her inspiring story in person. The Portable Playhouse is a non-profit organization that brings beading the bedside of hospitalized women and children.

Visit www.theportableplayhouse.org to learn more about The Portable Playhouse and how you can help by purchasing Silly Milly dolls, contributing to the World's Longest Beaded Necklace or becoming a volunteer.

Stay tuned for more information in the upcoming season of Beads, Baubles & Jewels!
