A. There are several ways to place beads in the channels. Here are three:
For this pendant, I passed a head pin outward through the drilled holes on each side of the component. Then, I placed crystals on beading wire and laid the beads in half of the channel with the beading wire passing under the head pins. Next, I filled the rest of the beading wire and crossed the beading wire ends inside three or four of the beads. Use your fingers to press the crystals in place in the channels. You could glue an image or a button inside the bezel cup in the center.
Alternatively, you could pass a piece of beading wire in through a drilled hole, make a beaded ring to fit inside the channels, then pass the same beading wire out through the opposite drilled hole.
For this charm, I passed a head pin outward through the outermost drilled hole and made a wrapped loop to attach it to the bracelet. Then, I strung 6/0 seed beads onto thread and tied them to form a beaded ring. I used glue to attach the image to the center and the beaded ring to the empty channel.

You are really so creative! I like the designs and the uniqueness!
last night i dreamed a crazy idea for a hair ornament that your katiedid components would probably be perfect for. (tho you or someone else may have already thought of this, of course) instead of attaching them to a necklace or bracelet (or pinback) they could probably be wired to a small wire comb. i saw them as being placed over a french braid. also, attached on either side of the comb was an herringbone-type chain, which could be wound through the braid. (of course there should be chain and non-chain models) i have a specific picture in my mind of the whole thing; the way the chain is and everything. (you know those little chains that hang thru you ear? something like that)
of course in theory this works wonderfully, in actual practise i have no idea. it may be a nightmare to get in and out of your hair, may tear out strands by the handful.
ive been unemployed nearly 2 years now (trying desperately to get a job before my unemployment ends, which will be soon)
anyway, just thought id mention this idea to you. :)
