Hello, Spring!

It finally looks like spring is on its way and a pretty mixture of shell pearls arrived in the mail, so I made this necklace to celebrate.

The beads are linked together with eye pins. The only tricky part was figuring out how to do the spacing for the multiple strands. It helped to put the necklace on the bust as shown so I could play with the arrangement. There's a multi-strand connector in the back to join the triple chain strands to the clasp.

Openwork flower and chain provided by Ornamentea; shell pearl mix/Czech glass beads provided by Rings 'n Things.

Gorgeous piece Katie! What a cool way to use that flower. Would not of thought of making it into an asymmetrical necklace like that. Great idea!

Inspirational! I'll have to do some wire wrapping to make my own 'flower'. Beautiful.

So pretty, Katie! I love the flower with the pearls, and it's so well balanced--a hard thing to do sometimes.
Hope to see you soon,

I love the design of this necklace. The delicate flower keeps the piece from becoming too heavy. Great work!
