Remember that polymer clay project I mentioned a few months ago? Well, now I can finally share the results! My handmade pendants appear in this month's issue of BeadStyle. Check the magazine for complete instructions and a step-by-step guide to making your own rubber-stamped, polymer clay pendants. It was fun coming up with different versions of the pendant/necklace combo. I like the way you can use the same technique and get three very different looks depending on how you bead them! I can't decide which one is my favorite.
Sources: Most of the supplies should be available at any rockin' craft store or rubber stamp shop, or you can find them online...
- I used Patera bezels for all of the pendants. Available online from PaperWishes.com or Alphastamps.com.
- Any rubber stamp with deep impressions will work for creating the patterned surface. I like these texture stamps from Lisa Pavelka.
- Polymer clay tools, Pearl Ex powder and ink pads from Joanns.com.
- All jewelry findings, stringing materials, etc. from your local bead shop or a Beadalon reseller.

These are really lovely.
Cheers,

I saw these in the magazine a couple of days ago and really liked them and how they were made. The more I learn about polymer clay, the more interested in it I become. And then I think - but what will I do with all these lovely beads I've collected? And then I see - both, together! Perfect!
Thanks, Margot! I need to check out your polymer projects in Beyond the Bead.
And, Lisa, there are lots of ways to combine beading and polymer clay. See Margot's book (above) and Linda Peterson has written two great books about it: http://www.lindapetersondesigns.com/beadbooks.html
Congratulations Katie! I like the simplicity and classiness of the project. It is a great one for beginners to have professional looking results, even if they are new to polymer clay!
Wow! Cool! I have never read that magazine.
