If you aren't already, pretty soon you're going to be hearing a lot about the Craft & Hobby Association Winter Show. It's a huge trade show for the craft industry - imagine walking into a home and garden type show, but it's all craft supplies! It's an exciting place to be.I'm on the CHA Designer Section Trend Committee, and we recently collaborated on an article about trends. I thought you'd be interested in the jewelry part:
"Jewelry is showing an emergence of interest in more advanced jewelry making techniques such as metalsmithing, intricate bead weaving and precious metal clay. Cut-out designs are being used due to the high cost of precious metals, creating a Victorian look with a contemporary slant to it. In addition, jewelry is becoming smaller in size and scale, moving away from the large statement necklace."
P.S. This ID lanyard/necklace is one of my classes at the CHA Winter Show in January...hope to see you there!

Really cool project, Katie! Love it. Would love to be there to see you and take your class!
I think your projects are really inspirational. We need more of this in the UK.
