My friends the Artgirlz told me about this cool organization and I just had to share the info with you. It's called Beads of Courage® and their mission is "to promote the well-being of children coping with serious illness, and their families, by strengthening resilience-based protective processes. Beads of Courage, Inc. achieves its mission through the development and implementation of evidence-based supportive care programs in children’s hospitals across the nation."
In plain English, this cool group uses beading to help kids to decrease illness-related distress, increase the use of positive coping strategies, help children find meaning in illness, and restore sense of self in children coping with serious illness. The program also provides something tangible the child can use to tell about their experience during cancer treatment and after.
Find out how to help: donate beads or supplies, help expand the program to your area, or become a sponsor.

Thanks for the address. I certainly would love to help.
You're welcome - I'm sure they'd welcome your talents and contributions!
What a great idea. I love it when creative people get together to take what they love and turn it into something bigger. Thanks for your post today and the link.
