Yippee and yahoo! Today's issue of Beading Daily features a Q&A with yours truly. Editor Michelle Mach actually says, "If there are such things as beading rock stars, then Katie is definitely one of them!" Moi? I can't believe it. That was so nice of her.
Anyhoo, if you zip over there and read our interview, you will get to find out some snippets about my creative process, trends, what it's like to work on the public television show Beads, Baubles & Jewels and my thoughts on crafting with kids. There are also some links to free projects for you!
What you won't read about in the interview is how I spent an hour last evening putting up new fencing for our escaped sheep. Oh, the glamorous country life. My friend Margot says I need to tell people more about my organic farming lifestyle. I promise to try.
Ever since our daughter was born, our farm business has been in a bit of flux. We're trying to figure out how to do it all. We're still raising grassfed beef and lamb, pastured chickens for eggs, keeping honeybees, and growing organic veggies but we took this summer off from farmer's markets. Craig will be at it again next season. We have some exciting ideas in the works!

Thanks for the kudos and the nudge, Madge. We crafty country gals have to stick together.
And, Liz, thanks for spreading the beady love with your beading society gals. I'll go check out your blog!
Thanks Katie! I have placed links to your blog and your website on our group page so that the gals can see all the cool stuff that you do! We appreciate your support and if you want to take a look at our group, there's a link to it at the bottom of my blog page. We are a small group of 40 right now, but hopefully....
Do you have any tips for our gals starting out with selling or doing shows that you would care to share? I am sure they would be interested in anything you can offer! Good luck with your book. It looks fabulous!
