Shell beads are my latest obsession. They're bright and fun and there are so many different kinds on the market that I just can't resist incorporating them into my jewelry designs. (Perhaps I'm dreaming of a beachy vacation?)

Check out this fun jangly bracelet I made. It's all about the layering! I basically added piles of beads to head pins and connected them to a blank charm bracelet. I wouldn't ordinarily think to combine such disparate elements as natural shell beads and fancy Swarovski crystal in one design, but it works. I like the way the small crystals bring out the uster of the shells. I used vintage rose Swarovski crystals to complement the rosy pink shells.

When I'm not wearing this as a bracelet, I'm going to attach the ends to a piece of chain and use it as a necklace. Two, two, two designs in one!

P.S. I'm almost up to my 100th blog post. It's a big accomplishment for me! Maybe I'll throw myself a virtual party...you're all invited :)
