Looks like it's time to clean my craft closet! I'm getting those New Year's urges to organize. This time I really am going to get rid of all of the supplies I haven't used in the past year. I just found a whole box of marbles and glass pebbles that I moved cross-country four years ago and haven't looked at since. I'm going to pack it all up and donate it to my local elementary school's art program. There were also some really beautiful rocks in there that I collected on the Oregon coast. Those are going into a big glass jar for display in my living room. Guess what my reward is going to be for doing all of this sorting and schlepping? That's right. New supplies! I have my eye on some bumpy yarn that I want to use for baby hats and there are some new 8x8 scrapbooking papers that must become part of my collection...of course, it goes without saying that I must acquire some new beads.

No Time Like the Present

So, why did I decide to start an online journal about beading and jewelry making? It's holiday time and there are a thousand other things I should be doing. But this blogging idea has been percolating in the back of my mind for a while and suddenly three people who are very close to me have told me what a good experience they've had keeping weekly journals. I guess I decided to pay attention and get busy! My plan is to share beading tips and ideas and keep you posted on what's happening in my crafty world.
